Jamie D. Moore, M.S. recalls that art has always been in her DNA, as she cannot remember a time when she was not drawing. In fact, she knew she had been drawing before she even learned how to write. Following her passion, she earned a Master of Arts in art education and art history from Anne Arundel Community College, followed by a Master of Science in counseling from The Johns Hopkins University in 1990. Ms. Moore also completed a postgraduate certification in work and family therapy from Loyola University.
Ms. Moore commenced her career as a specialist in gifted education for visual and performing arts for the Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She was additionally active as a counselor for 13 years and an art specialist for the Southern Delaware School of the Arts for one decade. Ms. Moore later worked as an art teacher for the Rehoboth Art League, during which time she was honored as the Teacher of the Year in 2018. To remain abreast of her field, she holds membership with the Maryland Federation of Art and the National Art Education Association. In five years’ time, Ms. Moore aspires to be able to conduct more workshops where she can also teach two areas in art, including the technical area and creative thinking.
